Cartoons and Freedom

Dear Mr Flemming Rose and others,

You must understand that you have made a HUGE MISTAKE, you have been UTTERLY IRRESPONSIBLE, yourself, your colleagues and everyone else in the west that have not yet apologized BOTH to western and Muslim people! Not only by words but also by ACTING!!! You have acted erroneously and now you must act again to correct your error.

You have acted erroneously NOT because you have published the controversial "jokes" about a foreign religion but because by not "correcting" your mistake you have selected to DENY FREEDOM of speech!

FREEDOM OF SPEECH does not mean to speak ONLY ONE VOICE, your voice! Freedom means selection and ABILITY to speak many different voices! By selecting to insist on freedom of YOUR OWN voice, you and many others in western societies DENY FREEDOM! The first step to become free is to DENOUNCE dogmatism, all dogmatism ... even about freedom itself ...!
The first step to become free is to GET AWAY from your OWN prejudices and beliefs! You have FIRST to joke about YOURSELF and then about others.

Think about it! Are you not a SLAVE of your OWN religion? How come and you joke about other religions and argue that by doing so you are a free person? You are NOT a FREE person, as long as you DO NOT JOKE ABOUT YOUR OWN RELIGION FIRST!!!

Your response to the righteous and building-up protest from Muslims, that you support Freedom of Speech, in fact is NOT supporting the notion of FREEDOM at ALL!
You clenched to your right to joke about Muslims, so strongly, like this was the ONLY choice you had!

Consequently, you lie to your fellow Europeans, most of all you lie to yourself that your are a free person! The responsibility for all that havoc, is utterly yours and of all those western "supporters of free speech".

Why? Because you had and still have so many choices for action!Apologizing is an easy one ... There are many others ... think about them, discover them. For example why don't you joke about Christianity or about your OWN religion (if you are not a Christian)? Is it so difficult for you? Don't you tell us that you joked about it in the past.

It does not matter if you have done in the past, NOW IS the APPROPRIATE time to ACT and joke about your OWN religion! This is the most difficult FREEDOM to achieve and you must do it now ... free yourself from yourself!

But you do not have a clue about the notion of Freedom your fellow Europeans have, though you speak FOR them!

Protect our notion of freedom of speech and select to joke about Christianity NOW! If you have published 12 cartoons about Muslims 6 months ago, you should have published at least 12 similar cartoons about Christianity in the meantime! Why have you not done so all that time that unrest is building up? In fact you should have published them before the ones about Mohamed!
How IRRESPONSIBLE you and all others are! All of you who insist on YOUR interpretation of the world and of YOUR freedom! You are NOT FREE at ALL! You succumb to the grandiosity and tyranny of your own selves...

There is still time to correct it though! Start publishing NOW cartoons for Jesus and keep on for the next 6 - 12 months, not because you need to "calm down" the Muslims, express your forgiveness and demonstrate your sympathy towards them.

Most of all, you need to demonstrate that the European press is REALLY FREE to SPEAK MANY VOICES!

You must protect our western NOTION OF FREEDOM of speech! Start immediately the SELF - JOKE work by publishing right NOW cartoons about "Jesus"! This is after all a valid option; in fact it is probably your ONLY option to act meaningfully and freely...!

Otherwise ALL Europeans will be doomed, in your name, to IDEOLOGICAL SLAVERY, DOGMATISM and RELIGIOUS FANATICISM ...

Oh Lord ... not in the 21st century!!!
